Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day," and Westport, CT resident, is elected to the board of trustees of Westport Country Playhouse. For the past three decades in journalistic work, Camerota has covered stories both nationally and internationally. She was awarded the Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage on the arrest Roger Stone. Roger Stone, and the famous Edward R. Murrow Award for her breaking news coverage of the effects of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone, of Stamford was made the honorary trustee after her tenure as the board's chair from 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport was elected chair of the board following an appointment on the Board since 2013. Czekaj Farber replaces Barbara Streicker from Westport who has served as the chair for the past year and was in this position ever since. The Playhouse's board of trustees has 26 members.
