
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on January 19 in 2008. She was an American film, television and voice actress. Pleshette began her stage career, and was a part of films in the late 1950s. Later, she appeared in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Then, she appeared in various television productions and was often a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978 in which she earned several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on January 31, 1937, in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of her were Jewish who were children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers.
